The Librarians is an enchanting performance from five-star performers and an award-winning theatre company HelenandJohn with Alex Nowak as seen on LUMO TV, celebrating the power of the imagination and the magic of storytelling, encouraging young people to read for pleasure. Using original visual theatre techniques and ingenious physical performance, The Librarians brings together the wonderfully quirky characters Miss Book and Mr Page in a bilingual performance for Deaf and hearing audiences aged 4-9, in BSL and spoken English.
After every 30-minute show there is a 30-minute interactive workshop where children create and perform their own stories on stage alongside the hilarious Librarian characters—an experience that sparks extraordinary creativity in performance, speech, writing, illustration or signed storytelling.
What better way to celebrate our National Year of Reading than a show championing reading for pleasure and empowering every child to discover their unique storytelling voice.
A celebration of reading, creativity, and everyone’s stories.
