The tour is lead by Martin Glover, himself Deaf BSL user, architect, digital artist and art facilitator.
This tour will be conducted in BSL and is designed for Deaf persons, families and fluent BSL users / friends.

This popular outdoor light art event is for visitors of all ages looking for a fun evening with family or friends. Taking place Thu 4 – Sun 7 Dec 2025, from 4pm-10pm, the event is completely FREE to attend and no booking required. This year Lightwaves Salford features 12 illuminated artworks using light, sound and technology to create a magical experience. Wrap up warm and come and experience Salford Quays and MediaCity in a whole new light.
The colourful interactive artworks are located along a route that is around 1.5km – all fully accessible – around MediaCity and Salford Quays. But you can do as much or as little as you want and there will be plenty for families and to delight younger visitors. Dogs are welcome too but must be kept on a lead as it can get very busy.
