Join Claudia Hammond and a panel of experts as they delve into the history, evidence and mysteries around anaesthesia. You’ll hear about how anaesthesia works and the current issues related to it, such as sustainability and the global inequality of safe access to anaesthetics.
Claudia will present the programme and interview the speakers. Then, the audience will have the chance to ask questions.
The event will be recorded and edited into a programme to be broadcast on the BBC World Service as part of ‘The Evidence’ series. After broadcast, the episode will be available on the BBC website.
