About Us

Deaf Where? is the UK’s first truly centralised events platform built specifically for the Deaf community. It brings together a wide range of Deaf-led and Deaf-accessible events – from social meet-ups and cultural performances to workshops and online gatherings – all in one easy-to-navigate site. Each listing highlights important access details (such as sign language interpretation, captions, and wheelchair access) so you can instantly see what’s available and how to take part.

Deaf Where? was created to meet a simple but important need: a single, reliable place to find and share Deaf events – without relying on word of mouth or scattered posts across social media.

The site is created and independently maintained by Calum Medlock, a Deaf inclusion advocate and web developer. Calum has overseen every stage of the platform’s development – from design and technical build to content, outreach, and future planning. As the site grows, Deaf Where? will continue to evolve – adding new features, improving accessibility, and building connections across the community – all under Calum’s guidance and long-term vision.
