London Deaf Queer Society

The London Deaf Queer Society exists to create a safe, inclusive space for the Deaf LGBTQ+ community. We meet every third Friday of the month, from 5pm to 8pm, followed by optional social outings to a restaurant, pub, or nightclub.

Our gatherings are open to d/Deaf, hard of hearing, cochlear implant users, Deafblind individuals, CODA/DP, hearing signers, and users of BSL, SSE, and ISL.

Our goal is to break down barriers and promote awareness, inclusion, diversity, equality, and accessibility. Many deaf individuals have experienced isolation, loneliness, stigma, social exclusion, and discrimination โ€“ often due to communication barriers and social anxiety. We aim to foster a more fluid and inclusive environment.

Above all, we strive to offer support, advice, and a genuine sense of community and belonging.
