Voice Up Theatre Workshop

Created by Wellcome Collection

Explore the effects of transgenerational trauma through the lived experiences of people of colour.

In this performance-based workshop, you’ll explore the effects of transgenerational trauma through the lived experiences of people of colour.

You’ll step into a character’s world by working through a scripted scene, then acting it out. Afterwards, we’ll discuss our experiences of inhabiting these characters.

The workshop will explore themes of mental health and how societal shifts affect the destiny of individuals and beyond into the following generations.

This is a relaxed event so you’ll be free to move around and there will be a Chill-Out Room available with low lighting, comfortable seating, cushions, mats, ear defenders, earplugs and sensory toys.

The event is suitable for everyone aged 16 and over.

We can provide a text or audio copy of the script in advance. You’ll receive more information about requesting a copy after you book a free ticket.
