Guided BSL Tour of Brixton Windmill

Created by Friends of Windmill Gardens

Discover the history of inner London's last working mill.

The tour will start with an introductory talk on ground level for up to 6 people. After this the group will be split into 2 groups of 3 for the full tour to the top floor of the mill. The tour is led by experienced BSL tour guide Edward Richards.

The tour will take around 40 minutes to 1 hour. Please note if you are in the second group of 3 you’ll be asked to wait for around 20 minutes whilst the first group is taken on the full tour. Our cafe and shop will be open during this time.  We are unable to take more than 3 people at a time to the upper floors of the windmill.

Please note to do the full tour you’ll need to be able to climb steep steps and ladders. Children must be at least 1.2 metres and under 14s must be accompanied by an adult.
