Lives In Motion: Exhibition talk (with #BSL/English Interpreter)
For the first time, The Beaney has a tour with a #BSL/English Interpreter for their #Deaf visitors.
Lives in Motion features 51 stories from the 11th century to the present day, exploring the experiences and contributions of people who have moved to Britain and made it their permanent or temporary home.
From William the Conqueror to Malala Yousafzai, the exhibition covers nearly 1,000 years of history, looking at royalty, fame and modern commissions by the National Portrait Gallery. Lives in Motion is a touring exhibition organised by the National Portrait Gallery opening first at The Beaney House of Art & Knowledge.
Octavia Tam, curator at the National Portrait Gallery will talk about the curatorial process and the stories behind some of the portraits on display.
The BSL/English Interpreter will be Steve Hudson who is on the NRCPD Register.
